This week, Ed and I talk about the rise of Michael Bloomfield, his legend, his unique role as a Jewish bluesman who learned at the feet of Muddy Waters and other African-American players in Chicago, his role in helping Bob Dylan birth folk-rock and his pioneering innovations with the Paul Butterfield Blues band. Hi My band Robby and The troubadours Circa 61-63 started white rock and roll us and Joey Dee and The starlighters we both played the Peppermint Lounge on 45th street we held residency at the Rumpus Room on Walton in Chicago 61-63 most of my guys were part of the Electric Flag. The likes of Bloomfield Steve Miller Ral Donner Johnny Winter came later they were fans and customers of Robby And The Troubadours that vied to just sit in as guests to our band Their fame came years later. I'm Currently a record producer with multi grammy award winner Glen Kolotkin producer and engineer produced Santana, Miles Davis Streisand Journey Stones Joan Jett.
